Excellent, you just arrived to Berlin Let’s make sure you take the quickest way
from Tegel airport to downtown! Finding your exit out of an airport can be
tricky! First off all: If you decide to go downtown
by using the public transportation system: There are several bus lines that run from
Tegel to multiple districts and connect to the subway system. Check this map: No matter which terminal you
get off the plane: walk towards Terminal A. All bus stops are located right in front
of the main exits. Come stop by the “Berlin Tourist Info”
in Terminal A, Gate I before you hit downtown! We are happy to provide you with directions to your hotel, get a hotel reservation or tickets and whatever it is to help you plan a great stay in Berlin. No need for personal guidance? Skip the first counter within Terminal A to
spare your time. There’s plenty of ticket machines outside
the building where you can get the Berlin Welcome Card – It includes our one and only
public transportation ticket needed for your entire stay. If your accommodation is located around Kurfürstendamm
or one of these districts: The X9 line works best for you. Within 20 minutes it takes you towards the
most essential junction point among West Berlin called “Zoologischer Garten”, from which
you can easily head for your destination. You want to head Alexanderplatz or the very
center of Berlin instead? Sure, the TXL bus is your line of choice then! It will pass by the central station of Berlin
called “Hauptbahnhof” and even further to Alexanderplatz. Continuing from here, you should easily find
your direct connection to your place of stay. Oh, seen that building before? Of course, it’s the Fernsehturm, located
right next to the station. Among a whole bunch of other sights, it’s
a great spot to start your sightseeing tour. Now if you do simply want to go to a certain
U-Bahn or S-Bahn station – The following bus lines give you a connection
to the subway system: Bus X9: Stopping by the circle line station
Jungfernheide TXL bus: Stopping by Beusselstraße, also
a circle line station Bus 128: Passing by Kurt-Schuhmacher-Platz and Osloer Straße in the district „Wedding“ Bus 109: Passing by Jakob-Kaiser-Platz in the district “Charlottenburg” Most busses run on a 5 or at least 10 minute
frequency from 4:30 a.m. until 0:01 a.m. If you arrive on late night flight: Try to take some extra budget for a Taxi into account before you start your travel. Find one at the official Taxi lane outside
gate 6 – 9. Now before you start your city adventure: Make sure to be familiar with the public transportation basics Subscribe the official Berlin channel
and we will keep you up–to-date with highlights and tipps on how to visitBerlin!

I love your Videos so much Berlin! <3
The first time I wouldn't believe it doesn't have an own subway stop. Thanks for explaining how to proceed guys. I hope people don't have to waist two hours to reach the S-Bahn anymore like I did🙈
Sorry to be blunt, but this video is too interested in being hip or cute and leaves many questions unanswered. So, I go to the tourist window or the machine and buy the Welcome card at the airport. Does it need to be timestamped or validated? If so, how and where? I go to the TXL bus stop. How do I board the bus? Insert this card in a machine/farebox? Show the driver the card or just board and maybe see if an inspector asks for the card? Practical info needed!!!
I am through Berlin with 14 high school students and have a 12 hour layover so we want to go into the city center. This helps a lot. One question: How many students are on the "group ticket" "A,B for Berlin AB19,90" ? We will have 16 total people with the 14 students and 2 chaperones. Curious as to how much it will cost to ride the system all day and how many tickets we need to buy.
Is the buses wheelchair accessible?? If not, is there any other public transportation to use??
You are an angel.
Hi, thanks for this video. Could you please recommend me some cheap hostels near Tegel airport.
I want to come to Berlin and stay 89 days (Schengen 90 days rule here) . What is an inexpensive motel to stay in for that duration (or a hostel). what is the nearest NON schengen country I can then go to to reset my schengen ?someone email me at : [email protected] if you know . not going over there any way soon but just checking around.
