[CB Aviation intro] [intro music]>>CORY: Hi, this is Cory Bentzgen with CB
Aviation and were here in Ogden, Utah at our FBO. We are going to go fly this 1966 Cherokee
6/260 with the RayJay Turbo. Come with us as we go check her out… [Piper Cherokee engine starting] [Piper Cherokee music] [Piper Cherokee take-off] [Piper Cherokee in-flight low-pass] [Piper Cherokee landing]>>CORY: Let’s take a better look at this
Piper Cherokee 6 for sale. This is the 260 horsepower, which is lighter than the 300.
But the neat thing about this aircraft is it has the RayJay Turbo conversion, so you
basically have the power of the Cherokee 300 with the lighter weight of the Cherokee 260.
This aircraft has over 1500 pounds of useful load. You can really put six adults in the
aircraft, plus a bunch of fuel and you’re out of here. The engine was overhauled in
2000 and had just about 1200 hours since the overhaul. There is just over 1000 hours on
the prop, so you have lots of time left on both of them. The annual was completed
this January and the airplane checked out really good and the compressions are awesome on this engine — you’ve got a ton of life left. [Piper Cherokee 260 music]>>CORY: As you’ll see, this aircraft is
a really good looking bird. The paint is in better than average condition. The interior:
six leather seats, with the front two covered in sheep skin, look really nice as well. It
has the tinted windows that makes it look very cool, as well as keeps the cabin cool
on those hot days. One of my favorite things about these big Cherokees is the big rear door.
It makes it super easy to load all your luggage and the passengers. Now that we are inside the aircraft, look
how large it is. It’s a very comfortable cabin for six adults, plus you still have
a lot of luggage room in the back. The Cherokee 6 is known as the truck in the sky. With over
1500 pounds of useful load, if you can fit it in the cabin, you’re flying! [Piper Cherokee 260 music] This Cherokee for sale is nicely equipped
up front as well. It has an autopilot with altitude hold; a KLN 90 GPS that’s coupled to the autopilot;
dual, digital NAV/COM and even a CD player. Plus electric trim on the yoke. As you can
see, this aircraft is very well equipped for an IFR flight, she is certified IFR and she’s
ready to go. [Piper Cherokee music] [Piper Cherokee engine run-up] [Piper Cherokee taxi] [Piper Cherokee in-flight low-pass] [CB Aviation logo sound]
