The DGCA has said that 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops purchased during September 2015 and February 2017 will not be allowed on flights due to overheating. On 20th June 2019, Apple asked those who purchased laptops during that period to return their laptop for verifying or exchanging their batteries. Laptops purchased during that period will not be allowed in carry on luggage or as check-in luggage. This is because there were chances of it catching on fire on the flight. This is why they are banned. The DGCA said that people must not carry these laptops on the flight. Once Apple completely solves the battery problems, then they will be allowed on the flight. People have to wait for Apple’s confirmation. If you want to find out if your 15-inch MacBook Pro Laptop has been affected, vist this website. Visit the website and put your serial number.
