Hi, I’m Michael FitzMaurice. I’m a Director of Photography here in Beijing, China today shooting with the M600 and Ronin MX. We’re here doing a high-flying, high-energy martial arts scene. We have a female ninja battling a Ming Dynasty warrior on a rooftop. She falls into this courtyard and finds herself surrounded by palace guards. We have a lot of different camera positions, we need to get the camera there efficiently
and get the shot. Directors want to get going with their scene, they want to move to the next shot, and to have a piece of equipment that can
keep the camera built on it, take it off the aerial platform, bring it
into your hands, use it quickly, put it back on the aerial platform, it opens up your creativity. The M600 with the Ronin-MX allows us to use a variety of different cameras from smaller DSLRs like the GH4 all the way up to a RED camera. One of the great features of the M600 with the new A3 flight controller is its precision. It has the ability to be accurate within centimeters
and it also can do programmable moves. Its flying characteristics are very predictable and it’s very stable. The M600 has the ability to carry a camera that meets the demands of the biggest Hollywood blockbuster movies.
