How about the top five ways RYR abuse their staff..
What on earth airplane and crew have to do with airport? Ridiculous.
When I was a child, my parents used to buy on the Duty Frees big size Toblerone chocolates and After Eight mint chocolates… and this things we don't usually buy anywhere else
20 pointless minutes of film with a mere 20 pointless seconds of content ???
How well do they treat/look after the pilots and see to your comfort?
I think it was in England or maybe Spain where you have to go trough a shop to get to your gates and yes it was also a turn left, but jokes on them Im cheap and left handed.
So if I am left handed I am good from the curve.
Oh well I am right handed 😂
It’s amazing how the body of nature works together with surroundigs and consusness.
Apparently Virgin uses purple lights because they found that it's more calming than blue, and because they think blue and green lights suppress appetite somewhat.
I love your channel, "Mentour Pilot." But really? Is it all this complicated?
If i have to go in a long left well they failed, im left handed so most likely wont see anything, and probably be too tired to bother browsing for someting unless is a toilet
I can't remember any flights(asia pacific area) with blue seats, lots of grey and black.
ID card is empty…why?
I must be that one of a million we hear about. I buy nothing but coffee and that has nothing to do with presentation. I know I am going to buy coffee before I even get there. I might buy a bagel if I am hungry. That's about it. Otherwise I go straight to my gate, sit down and wait patiently.
Announcements in airports and airplanes all sound the same to me all over the world: Talking too fast, rarely loud enough, and with the microphone evidently mashed against the lips so that the person can't enunciate clearly. "Ladies mdgndmmn Flight teesest to Smfsso will eeleefnn gate svnftn minnnt goofstree now boarding."
TSA confiscates nail clippers and the shops past security sell them. Coincidence?
I've seen plenty of grey, black, and white seats.
very informative ty
I despise light blue interiors in aircraft. I want to be immersed in something creative and interesting if I am going to be stuck on there for hours.
You should be in marketing!
Oh boy. All those dirty tricks aimed against passengers just to get us buy something we don't need! LOL. There already is a lot that I would love to buy at Tax Free… I don't need any brainwashing – all I need is more funds! haha
Which is better to fly Boeing or Airbus ?
Is there any truth to the myth that pet owners resemble their pets??🐕🤔
Another good informational video…….. keep em coming.
Maybe the nice video should be seen @ Fraport. At gates E there is only one tiny shop and absolutly no way to get something like breakfast, when you left your hotel to check in in time …
After sitting on a plane staring at my knees while trying not to get a leg cramp and minimizing my "personal space", the last thing I want to do is trek a half a mile thru a shopping mall to the baggage claim. Then, after walking thru this super spacious shopping mall, you enter the super crowded and undersized passenger pickup area. The whole experience sucks because you know they are trying to pull every dollar out of you.
Thank you for what you’re doing.
Weak-minded bs. I can see how it'd work on most people.
You get enough people to watch this they'll stop using airliines and then you are unemployed IRONIC
lol :Archie!" and he's like 'what??'
Question: how will he know when the dog has died?
SLOW DOWN. Your rapid fire delivery makes what you say VERY hard to follow.
Watching this video gave me the sense that airline attendants are better trained in de escalation than [USA] police
Transavia is a loud green. Not a friendly "let's take a calming walk in nature" sort of green, but more like "screaming in your face grind core metal" green.
Is this guy really a pilot or was he ever a pilot? Why he is talking about control? What about his NEEED to control. Almost every company will give free months on his sponsor's sites you free offers for 30 days to 1st Year… SO WHAT… Is your mother CONTROLLING you when she opensyour window when you have to go to school Wow? Lighting is a part of all businesses. I have been in KFK, Fkft, A'dam, Berlin and LAX, most spaces are not carpet. He says NOTHING that helps me with ways to save time and/or money. He says nothing about the high prices of many things at airports… Think about it. This guy has TWO PROBLEMS: He NEEEDS to appear as an expert and he has a greater NEEEED for attention. He makes more money from YT and his sponsors than you pay for all of your flights combined. And nothing has any real need or meaning he thinks we are teenagers who have never been in an airport and don't know what tom buy. PLEASE don't like or subscribe who is selling you "Whitebread like it is a Wholewheat healthy choice."
Gee a pilot wants to calm you down… gee he should have them let you jump around like a monkey. There are 100s of people on a plane and they all want a quiet and comfortable flight. We are all manipulated by the bus driver the taxi driver some friends and family. Gee dutyfree shops gee they want to sell you something, amazing… Like every supermarket. What has he said that really helped you. If he was a serious pilot he wants you to fly… is that manipulative? YES, but it is OK for him.
idc about airport selling shit because everything is overpriced, its not really stress from going through security.. is more like Stress cus you're about to GET on a plane that travels in mid air at 32,000 feet at 560mph…
for me that's the only stress Lol
A book I never intended to buy… I think I still have a magazine somewhere there that I bought at an airport just to kill time. I didn't read it, I browsed a few pages, put it in my carryon and never opened it again. I said to myself I will still read it when I get home because I bought it, lol and that's why it's still there somewhere. Good Video!
Point with carpet floor is totally non sense. There is hardly any other airport except Heathrow of London that has got the carpet. Tiles are far more hygienic and clean.
I always love flying overnight with Emirates, sunset lighting, stars in the roof, bird song and sunrise to wake you up
I never ever buy anything in any airport it's way to over priced
Carpets is not hygienic…can accumulate lot of bacterias…( virus corona anyone?!?!)
I find the stores' tricks so strange. I never buy anything in an airport except the occasional coffee. I just don't do it and I have never had a desire to buy anything.
I don't know if flight attendants really try to calm passengers down or have a friendly body language, I always get a negative or at best indifferent attitude from them. In economy at least, it's like the airplane is a prison and they're the guards.
You need to practice speaking English faster. I was actually able to understand three (or maybe four) words you said.
Those window blinds! Are you in Spain?
Airports try to trick you into buying stuff?! When bottles of water are £2:50 then it doesn’t matter what they try I’m not going into the shops
I had noticed that re-design of Duty Free and find it f**king infuriating – so much so that I refuse to buy anything there on principle.
Blue seats mean to calm you down. Ryan Airlines: black and yellow seats, which look like an angry bumblebee. [snort]
6. Airlines encourage yoga by making all seats with child size leg room.
Hello, I love love love all of you videos!! But I tried jumping on the app and talking to you a few times, and no response :'(
As to money-making by the airlines, Fidelity Investments has a long list of economic sectors arranged in order of profitability, each with their own mutual fund you can invest in. There are about 25 sectors. At any given time aviation/airlines is at or very near the very bottom of the list. Airlines often struggle just to stay afloat (aloft). Near the top of the list is health care; this is why we pay two to three times as much for medical care as other developed countries. There's something terribly wrong here.
Those airport manipulation techniques don't work on me, they just piss me off and ensure i buy even less than I was going to in the first place (kinda like how companies that spam themselves on as many YouTube videos as possible only drive me to boycott said company for all eternity)
I fly a lot. Unfortunately I'm one of those who is reassured by knowing more information
How about not depriving you of oxygen instead of trying to trick you to feel better? If it really is hard to keep full sea level pressure in, then at least make it oxygen rich.
Checkmate, airports, I'm left handed.
Perhaps malls/stores should borrow this tactic.
Just found your channel. I love traveling and I love your channel!
not if your BA
Airlines trying to manipulate me into feeling calm and rested, how very DARE they! I have the right to be terrified and exhausted!
Country like Dubai are a real manipulative and desperate country where they dupe people to buy goods
I've been watching a few pilots on Youtube, but this is by far the best content in my opinion.
I've only bought once inside the airport just because I forgot my neck pillow when traveling.
If they want to sell more, they have to fix the terribly overpriced items they had. I once saw a Hershey's chocolate bar for $12 USD in Dallas airport.
At Helsinki airport, after security check, yes, the duty free is there, but when you take a very tight right turn, you end up in a pub. 😉
That blue has to be in business class for me to associate it with "calmness".
I knew all of this. Still good info and glad someone is telling it like it is.
Who looks after the dog when your away?
Regarding #2, what about someone who is deaf? Are there any requirements for those who require sign language, etc. who wouldn't otherwise even know about an overhead message, especially if say they were asleep, etc. such as having at least one Sign Learned Crew Member? How are other Handicaps/disabilities (sorry if the term is not correct, I mean this in the most positive way) dealt with on airlines such as wheelchairs, crutches, etc.?
Mentour always wears the pilot’s uniform. If he wore jeans and a t-shirt and sat on his couch with his dog…..well we would still like him.
Manipulation are some sort of subtle help/support?
I don't know about you guys but I do enjoy the ways I am manipulated by the airports 😛
I Love your dog !
I am very happy to see the dog is alive. In some of your videos the dog literally does not move.
The airport shown in the carpet part of the video was PDX (Portland International Airport) my home
Regarding announcements, one improvement might be to modify your initial description of weather at the destination airport to include only the details that are of interest to passengers. Although included in your wx briefing, they do not care about wind speed, direction and barometric pressure. They are interested only in details that might affect them, such as time, temperature and whether it is sunny, raining or snowing.
I also noticed that airports tend to show gate numbers quite short to boarding time like ten minutes ahead to keep you in the shopping/restaurant area where all the displays are with the gate numbers on it.
Take peoples water away "for safety" and force them to wait for hours next to a shop selling water at 5€ / 0,5L…
As well as these videos being fantastic learning! I've just signed up with SkillShare using the link above, and it still gives two months free despite being five months old! It's fantastic!
Airport design is still way back in the dark ages and dose not have the paying customers in mind. Add to that all airport are ghettos in the middle of the night.
Excellent. Thank you.
2 minutes in before you get to it bye-bye
Good news I am left handed so they wont manipulate me into buying those consumer products. I love your channel keep up the good work.
Sleepless in Seattle t-shirts still selling well? Just wait for the Pissed off in Pittsburgh t-shirts. I smell a money maker.
Why do cabin crew insist on opening the window blinds on landing?
If I find myself in an airport or even worse, in an airplane, I've been manipulated…or kidnapped.
I felt manipulated by the playful dog 🤣
Wow, this guy really does his research. I learn something every time I watch one of his videos. Lots of retailer info here. Thanks!
1. The walk though duty free that you have to do now makes me more agitated and stressed. Standsted has to be the worst, you walk up and there is a wall in front of you and just behind that wall is the departure lounge, but you have to take a diversion of a 10 – 15 walk past all the duty free shops, Gatwick now has it and I almost missed my flight because of it + security, but I didn't mind the security as i understand why and I work in that area. When I got to the gate, I wasn't happy and I admit now unfairly had a go at the gate staff and because I am trained in how to calm people down, it no longer works on me as I can see what they are doing, which in a way can annoy you more, because you get the idea that all they want is for you to calm down and forget about it.
Content starts at 3:00.
As the owner of a 4 wheeled suitcase, I hate carpeted floors in airports
can we watch you fly
I'd say a large unmentioned one is the fallacy that liquids larger than 100 mm can't be brought through security but can be purchased air-side no problem.
i like to intro music
1. Put on headphones, and listen to music2. Hold ur baggage on left hand(for those airports that have shop on right side)3. On your phone's homescreen & lockscreen put a picture/image that says "DON'T BUY ANYTHING, UNLESS IT'S EMERGENCY"4. Put/have some tiny rocks in ur shoes until u're out of airport. It's to force u to get out of the airport faster5. Don't talk if u there's no need
